PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating transparency capable of objectively and precisely evaluating the transparency.SOLUTION: The method evaluates the transparency as follows: a first irradiation region and a second irradiation region in an object are irradiated with light, and receives emission light returning from the first irradiation region and the second irradiation region, then the transparency is evaluated by comparing the respective irradiation light amount to the first irradiation region and the light amount to the second irradiation region with the respective emission light amount emitted from the first irradiation region and the second irradiation region.
