To provide optimal images for diagnoses when imaging is carried out under the same conditions as previously so as to observe a progress by imaging the same subject at different times in an MRI system.
SOLUTION: The MRI system 10 has a past image acquisition section 61, a past imaging conditions acquisition section 62, a positioning parent image generation section 63 for past images and an ROI (region of interest) setting section 64 for positioning subsidiary images based ON the positioning parent images, a positioning subsidiary image generation section 68 by positioning scans for a subject, a display control section 65 controlling the display of the past images and the positioning subsidiary image ON the same screen, an input control section 66 controlling the input of the movement of the display image and an ROI setting section 69 setting an ROI for positioning subsidiary images after movements in accordance with details of movements as an ROI for main images and a main image generation section 70 generating the main images by performing main scans for the subject in accordance with the ROI for the main images.
