PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible multi-modality medical video endoscope capable of safely performing visualization of a lesion site, living body oximetric measurement, and affected tissue treatment by controlling an irradiation time of an illumination body.SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM: An endoscope includes a plurality of illumination bodies 121a and 121b, and an image sensor 108 at the distal end of a flexible tube of the endoscope, and is provided with a video processor 100 for processing an image signal from the image sensor 108, a display device 101 for displaying an image based on the processed image signal, and an automatic observation measurement treatment system 102. The automatic observation measurement treatment system 102 includes an irradiation time control mechanism 114 for controlling an irradiation time of each of the illumination bodies 121a and 121b based on the processed image signal, electric current control mechanisms 118a and 118b for controlling an electric current supplied to each of the illumination bodies 121a and 121b, and a main control device 110 for executing signal processing for the living body oximetry measurement based on the image signal, and control of each mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
