PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection element and others capable of imaging an image having high definition even at a distal end (on a chest wall side).SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of pixels 20 arranged in matrix in a radiation detection element 10 having a rectangular form in a plan view has a pixel shape (rectangular) which is long in a direction parallel to a chest wall side and short in a depth direction crossing the direction. Further, external circuits such as a scan signal control section, a signal amplifying section and others are not provided on one long-side side of the radiation detection element 10, and the one long-side side is located on the chest wall side of a subject, to thereby eliminate an imaging defect on the chest wall side and improve a resolution in the depth direction.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】端部(胸壁側)においても解像度の高い画像を撮影できる放射線検出素子等を提供する。【解決手段】平面視したとき長方形の放射線検出素子10にマトリックス配置された複数の画素20各々の形状を、胸壁側に平行する方向において長く、それと交差する方向である奥行き方向において短い画素形状(長方形)とする。また、放射線検出素子10の一方の長辺側にスキャン信号制御部、信号増幅部等の外部回路を設けず、その長辺側が被検者の胸壁側となるように構成することで、胸壁側での撮像欠損をなくすとともに、奥行き方向の分解能を向上させる。【選択図】図1
