PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical equipment with excellent operability.SOLUTION: A catheter 10 includes: a tubular body (a sheath) 16 which includes a main lumen 20 formed inside the catheter 10 along the longitudinal direction thereof, has a distal end with an opened end surface, and in which an opening 201 communicating with the main lumen 20 is formed and a projection part 18 extending along the longitudinal direction of the tubular body 16 and projecting from the distal end of the tubular body 16. When the tubular body 16 is inserted into a body cavity, the projection part 18 guides the insertion of the tubular body 16 into the body cavity. The projection part 18 has flexibility.
