A supply (305) of inductive power to supply power wirelessly to at least one remote device (338), said inductive power supply comprising: a power supply having a rail voltage; a receiver (336) configured to receive power information from said at least one remote device (338); a resonant circuit having a resonance frequency that varies in operation, said resonant circuit including a primary winding (314) configured to transfer power to said remote device; an inverter to supply power from the power supply to the resonant circuit, the inverter having an operating frequency and a duty cycle; a memory (327); and a controller (326) in communication with said receiver (336), said primary winding (314) and said memory (327), said controller programmed to: obtain power information from the remote device through the receiver (336); maintaining a list of active remote devices in said memory (327) by updating said active remote device list in response to at least one of a change in the state of said at least one remote device (338) and a change in the presence of said at less a remote device (338); wherein said controller (326) is programmed to determine the inductive power supply settings of rail voltage, resonance frequency or duty cycle in response to the determination that said inductive power supply (305) can be configured to power all devices in said list of active remote devices using said power information of the remote device; configuring said inductive power supply (305) and said resonant circuit to supply power to all remote devices in said list of active remote devices based on said determined inductive power supply settings; and performing the step of: determining inductive power supply configurations and instructing at least one remote device (338) in said list of active remote devices to change power consumption, in response to determining that said inductive power supply (305) it cannot be configured to properly power all remote devices (338) in said list of act
