Metered spice tablets, the composition of which comprises of one or more spices, a suitable natural binder, and optionally a food or beverage component, used in the preparation of spice flavored food or beverage instantly. The invention further discloses a method for the preparation of the instant spice tablets using direct compression without employing any liquid additives or any drastic conditions in the process that helps to retain the authentic flavor and aroma of spices as desired for long term use.
