Assembly of an interbody cage and a delivery system, wherein the delivery system comprises a shell designed to receive an interbody cage and comprises a distraction element in the shape of two opposing rods arranged on the anterior side of the shell. The two rods are designed to be introduced into the intervertebral space in a first position and to be rotated into a second position to distract the vertebrae, whereupon the delivery system may be inserted in such second position into the intervertebral space to, in a next step, deliver the cage into the intervertebral space, before the final removal of the delivery system. In further embodiments, the volume of the circumference of the shell is reduced, until the shell merely comprises of two extended rods and a connecting member capable of receiving the interbody cage and of delivering it according to the method of the invention.L'invention concerne l'assemblage d'une cage intersomatique et d'un système de pose, le système de pose comprenant une coque conçue pour recevoir une cage intersomatique et comprenant un élément de distraction sous la forme de deux tiges opposées disposées sur le côté antérieur de la coque. Les deux tiges sont conçues pour être introduites dans l'espace intervertébral dans une première position et être tournées dans une seconde position pour écarter les vertèbres, le système de pose pouvant être inséré dans ladite seconde position dans l'espace intervertébral, dans une étape suivante, pour poser la cage dans l'espace intervertébral, avant le retrait final du système de pose. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, le volume de la circonférence de la coque est réduit, jusqu'à ce que la coque comporte uniquement deux tiges étendues et un élément de liaison capable de recevoir la cage intersomatique et de la poser selon le procédé de l'invention.
