The elastic crotch section (200a) is provided away from a waist holding section (150) without intersecting the waist holding section (150). A liquid -permeable top sheet (50) is provided closer to a skin contact surface side (S1) of the disposable diaper (10) than the absorbent body (40). A liquid- permeable second sheet (51) , which is bulkier than the top sheet , is provided between the top sheet (50) and the absorbent body (40). The second sheet (51) is disposed in such a manner as to overlap with a region in which the elastic crotch section (200a) is disposed.
