Disclosed are emulsions including an aqueous phase with an emulsifierdissolved in theaqueous phase, an oil phase including oil droplets, and a solid weightingagent encapsulated inthe oil droplets. The ratio of the solid weighting agent to the oil phase inthe emulsion may befrom about 1:5 to about 1:2000. The emulsions may be used with ready-to-drinkand liquidconcentrate beverages. Methods for making such emulsions are also disclosed.
