PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic imaging device and a method thereof capable of measuring hardness of an organ in consideration of a vibration mode of the organ.SOLUTION: When an ultrasonic signal is transmitted to an organ to which vibration is applied, and hardness of the organ is measured using an ultrasonic reception signal received from the organ, the velocity of at least two places of the organ is calculated using the ultrasonic reception signal; the velocity of the two places is analyzed; and a plurality of vibration modes and a frequency of each vibration mode are identified. Meanwhile, a constant number used for hardness calculation is calculated for each of the plurality of vibration modes beforehand. The hardness of the organ is calculated using the frequency of the identified vibration mode, information on the size of the organ, the constant number calculated beforehand for each of the plurality of vibration modes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】臓器の振動モードを考慮して、臓器の硬さ計測を行うことが可能な超音波撮像装置及び方法を提供する。【解決手段】振動を加えた臓器に超音波信号を送信し、臓器から受信した超音波受信信号を用いて、臓器の硬さを計測する際に、超音波受信信号を用いて臓器の少なくとも2か所の速度を算出し、2か所の速度を解析し、複数の振動モードと各振動モードの周波数を特定する。一方、複数の振動モード毎に硬さ算出に用いる定数を予め算出しておく。特定された振動モードの周波数と、臓器のサイズの情報と、複数の振動モード毎に予め算出された定数と、を用いて臓器の硬さを算出する。【選択図】図2
