The invention disclosed herein is a process for increasing the desiredconcentrationof a pharmaceutically active ingredient relative to fill composition viscosityfordosage units. The process is particularly useful in the preparation of softgelatincapsules containing pharmaceutically active ingredient. As a result of theprocess,lesser quantities of inactive ingredients are needed to accomplish the sametherapeutically effective dosage, thereby significantly increasing theconcentrationof the pharmaceutically active ingredient resulting in either a reduction inoverallfill volume and dosage unit size or an increase in concentration ofpharmaceuticallyactive ingredient per unit dosage form.
