An ultraviolet-absorbing composite powder comprising a plurality of composite powder particles, wherein the composite powder particle consists of an inorganic or organic core particle having an average particle diameter of 0.5-100µm, and a compound of formula (1):which is adsorbed to the surface of the core particle which is provided. The composite powder of the invention exhibits an excellent UV ray protecting property as well as smooth and comfortable texture, and is useful for manufacturing cosmetic products.
