The invention relates to a method for simultaneously dyeing and permanently shaping keratin fibers, especially human hair, (i) an aqueous composition containing at least one oxidative dye precursor and hydrogen peroxide being applied to the fibers, (ii) the fibers being rinsed after an exposure time Z1 and optionally dried, (iii) the fibers then being shaped using shaping auxiliaries, (iv) an aqueous composition containing at least one keratin-reducing compound (referred to in the following as perming agent) being applied to the fibers, (v) the fibers being rinsed after an exposure time Z2 and optionally dried, (vi) finally an oxidizing composition containing at least one oxidizing compound (referred to in the following as fixative agent) being applied to the fibers and being rinsed after an exposure time Z3, with the proviso that step (iii) immediately follows step (ii), step (iv) immediately follows step (iii) or steps (iii) and (iv) proceed simultaneously.
