PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that can accurately estimate postoperative facial appearance in a surgery in which a facial appearance change is estimated.SOLUTION: A method includes: a reference setting step of storing reference to maintain consistency between images a past case database compilation step of accumulating cases of performing surgery of jaw deformity a preoperative photographic image data input step of inputting image data of a preoperative facial appearance of a new patient into a processing system a preoperative image normalizing step of previously matching an input image to a predetermined reference a feature point position data setting step of specifying a plurality of feature points of the image data a similar patient selection step of selecting a past patient case similar to a new patient from a past case database on the basis of a plurality of feature points specified a postoperative estimated position setting step of estimating a movement amount and moving direction of the a plurality of feature points of the new patient based on the preoperative and postoperative facial appearance change of the similar patient and a postoperative simulation step of visualizing the postoperative facial appearance of the new patient on the basis of the feature points estimated.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】 顔貌変化が予測される手術において、手術後の顔貌を正確に予測することのできる方法及びシステムを提供する。【解決手段】画像間に一貫性をもたせるための基準を記憶する基準設定ステップと、顎変形症の手術を行った症例を蓄積する過去症例データベース化ステップと、新患者の術前顔貌の画像データを処理システムに入力する術前写真画像データ入力ステップと、入力された画像を、あらかじめ定めた基準に合わせる術前画像正規化ステップと、画像データの特徴点を複数特定する特徴点位置データ設定ステップと、特定された複数の特徴点を元に、過去症例データベースから新患者に類似する過去患者症例を選出する類似患者選出ステップと、類似患者の術前と術後の顔貌変化に基づいて、新患者の複数の特徴点の移動量と移動方向を予測する術後予測位置設定ステップと、予測した特徴点を元に新患者の術後顔貌を可視化する術後シミュレーションステップとで構成することにより課題解決できた。【選択図】 図1
