The processing circuitry is configured to obtain a schematic image schematically indicating the part of the subject. The processing circuitry is configured to cause a display to display the schematic image and either the ultrasound image or an image based on the ultrasound image, in such a manner that the orientation of the subject included in either the ultrasound image or the image based on the ultrasound image and the orientation of the subject indicated in the schematic image are close to each other, on the basis of an analysis result from an analysis performed on either the ultrasound image or the image based on the ultrasound image.
