Detection system for detecting unseating of e.g. wing needle that is inserted in children, has signal generator passed from rest state to alarm state when outer part is in engaged and latched positions, respectively
The system (1) has a connector (6) attached to a body (3) of a patient, and a wired link (7) for connecting the connector to a needle (2). An outer part (8) of the link is provided with a fixing unit for fixing the needle, and another outer part (10) of the link is coupled with the connector. The needle is displaced by displacement of the latter outer part of the link between an engaged position and a latched position.
