The present invention provides a metal resin composite molded body and a method for preparing the same, wherein the molded body has strong binding strength between an insert metallic member and a resin member, good surface appearance, and excellent chemical resistance to an acid or an alkali. The metal resin composite molded body includes an insert metallic member and a resin composition, wherein the insert metallic member includes an insert molded resin member and at least a part of a surface of the insert metallic member, which comes in contact with the resin member is physically and/or chemically treated. The resin composition includes (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyarylene sulfide resin, (B) 10-250 parts by mass of an inorganic filler selected from the group consisting of spherical silica and glass beads, having a non-fibrous form, and also having an average particle diameter of 30 micrometers or less; and (C) 3-55 parts by mass of an epoxy compound.
