PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic that has appropriate time until phase inversion, excellent massaging feature, and furthermore excellent makeup removing effect.SOLUTION: An oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic contains the following components (a) to (e): (a) anionic surfactant and/or nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 10 or more； (b) dextrin fatty acid ester being an esterified product of dextrin and fatty acid, in which an average degree of glucose polymerization of dextrin is 3 to 150, fatty acid contains one or two or more types of branched saturated fatty acid having a carbon number 4 to 26 at larger than 50 mol% and 100 mol% or less with respect to total fatty acid, and contains one or two or more types selected from the group consisting of straight-chain saturated fatty acid having a carbon number 2 to 22, straight-chain or branched unsaturated fatty acid having a carbon number 6 to 30, and cyclic saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having a carbon number 6 to 30 at 0 mol% or more and less than 50 mol% with respect to total fatty acid, and a substitution degree per glucose unit of fatty acid is 1.0 to 3.0； (c) ester of fatty acid of a carbon number 6 to 22 and monohydric alcohol of a carbon number 2 to 22； (d) ester of one kind selected from glycerin, sorbitan and diglycerin, and fatty acid having a carbon number 8 to 22； and (e) nonpolar oil agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
