PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn mower capable of preventing scatter of mowed grass from a duct 29 which mowed grass is mowed with a mower 16 and, even when an operator forgets that grass collectors 30 and 85 are removed, and starts grass mowing work.
SOLUTION: The lawn mower comprises a mower 16 mounted on a running body 1, a discharge duct 29 for carrying out the mowed grass mowed with the mower 16, grass collectors 30 and 85 for collecting mowed grass sent from the discharge duct 29, an engine-stopping mechanism 91 stopping an engine 9 mounted on the running body 1, a PTO operating means 18 for performing driving and stopping operation of the mower 16, a PTO-on detector 55 detecting operation of the PTO operating means 18 for driving the mower 16, and a collected grass detector 74 detecting the connection state of the grass collectors 30 and 85 and the running body 1. On conditions that the grass collectors 30 and 85 are removed from the running body 1, an engine-stopping mechanism 91 are worked by operating the PTO operating means 18 to drive the mower 16.
