<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide useful glycoprotein having a human-type sugar chain. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a production method for glycoprotein having a human-type sugar chain, which includes: a step of obtaining a transformed plant cell by introducing the gene of glycosyltransferase and the gene of heterologous glycoprotein into a plant cell; and a step of culturing the obtained transformed plant cell. The glycosyltransferase can perform transfer reaction of a galactose residue to a unreduced terminal acetylglucosamine residue. The glycoprotein having the human-type sugar chain comprises a core sugar chain and an external sugar chain, the core chain comprises plural mannoses and acetylglucosamines, and the external sugar chain comprises a terminal sugar chain portion having a unreduced terminal galactose and has a linear chain structure or a branched structure.
