The present invention relates to small peptides derived from a cytokine,interleukin-4 (IL-4), capable of binding tothe IL-4 receptors and inhibiting macrophage activation, and therebypreventing the onset of inflammatory response. The inven-tionfurther relates to use of said peptides for the production of a medicament forthe treatment of different pathological condi-tions,wherein IL-4 plays a prominent role.
