A storage and mixing device (20) for separate substances comprising:a mixing compartment (26),at least two pistons (28) that each extend from the mixing compartment (26) and end in a displacement section (30), wherein each piston (28) defines a passageway (40) having a first opening that communicates with the mixing compartment (26) and a second opening that communicates with an inlet (38) provided at the displacement section (30), anda housing (22) having at least two pairs of a piston guide (42) and a cartridge compartment (32) connected to the piston guide (42), each piston guide (42) slidably receiving one of the pistons (28), and each cartridge compartment (32) configured to receive a removable cartridge (24) that comprises a cavity (50) containing one of the separate substances and an opening sealed by a cartridge seal (36),wherein the displacement section (30) of each piston (28) further comprises a piercing means (34) for piercing the cartridge seal (36) of the cartridge (24) arranged in the corresponding cartridge compartment (32), such that the displacement section (30) can enter the cartridge cavity (50) and displace the contained substance into the mixing compartment (26) via the inlet (38) and the passageway (40) of the piston (28).
