PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cooling apparatus exhibiting the synergistic effect of a latent heat cooling function and a sensible heat cooling function and further effectively lowering the temperature of the passing air even if it turns into a saturated steam and no longer evaporates.SOLUTION: An air cooling body 11 is formed of a base material 12 made of a paper material, and a thin metallic aluminum sheet 13 of high thermal conductivity stuck to the one-side surface of the base material 12. The aluminum sheet 13 has the sensible heat cooling function. When air flows in, the air is cooled by the latent heat of water when water evaporates on the base material 12. The synergistic effect of the latent heat cooling function of the base material 12 and the sensible heat cooling function of the aluminum sheet 13 is exhibited to further effectively lower the temperature of the air passing through an air flow path 14.
