The present invention relates to a use of soluble protein extract from Antrodia cinnamomea in the preparation of anti-human immunodeficiency virus (anti-HIV) medicinal composition. The soluble protein extract from Antrodia cinnamomea obtained by subjecting the fermentation solution of A. cinnamomea mycelium to a protein precipitation step and a gel filtration step.
