PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vein pattern of a requested area of a finger to be imaged without fail and to realize downsizing and slimming down of a device without having a guide for regulating a position of the finger in the personal authentication device using the vein pattern of the finger.
SOLUTION: By a lens array based imaging part 101, the lens array based image of the finger is input. A position determination part 102 determines whether the position correction for the finger is required and how the position correction is made, based on an outline of the finger contained in the single lens based image chosen from among the lens array based images. In response to the determination result of the position determination part 102, a position correction part 103 allows a position correction guide mechanism 105 to guide a movement of finger by a user for the position correction or allows a position correction movement device 106 to move the lens array based imaging part 101 for the position correction.
