PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat and a fishing rod capable of suppressing the loosening of a nut by adding suitable constitution to the nut itself, even if the frequent tackle-casting operation or the frequent jigging operation is performed.SOLUTION: The reel seat is obtained by forming an internal thread part 8B screwing into an external thread part 4C formed in a seat base 4 in a nut 8 for moving a movable hood 3 holding a reel leg C.
