METHODS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A MAMMALIAN ANIMAL POPULATION HAVING AN ESSENTIALLY IDENTICAL METABOLOMA, FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF A COMPOUND, AND FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF A MEFAMOUS MEFAMOUS COMPUTER. The present invention relates to a method for producing a population of animals having an essentially identical metabolome composed of a population of animals that are essentially the same age, maintaining said population of animals for a period of time sufficient for acclimatization under the following storage conditions: (i) constant temperature, (ii) constant humidity, (iii) physical separation of animals from the animal population, (iv) libitum feeding, where the food to be fed is essentially free of chemical contamination or microbial, (v) libitum beverage, where the beverage liquid is essentially free of chemicals or microbial contamination, (vi) constant lighting period, and availability of animal population after said time period. In addition, the present invention relates to methods for identifying a compound which metabolizes an animal, or methods for identifying a marker of such compounds.
