The invention concerns the use of polymers, notably high molecular weight polyethylene oxide, in aqueous solutions simultaneously as anti-drift agents in sprays and as deposition agents on water-repellent surfaces. The aqueous polymer solutions to be employed have a viscosity of at most ten times that of water, and a first normal stress coefficient that exceeds 10-8 Pas2.
