PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spigot joint type fishing rod capable of relaxing stress concentration on a spigot joint type and facilitating attachment/detachment of a small diameter rod to the spigot joint.SOLUTION: There is provided a spigot joint type fishing rod for coupling detachably, by a spigot joint 80, a small diameter rod 30 and a large diameter rod 20. On a rear end side of the small diameter rod, there is formed an opening inner peripheral face 31a being fitted and fixed to an outer peripheral face of the spigot joint and having a standing position P1 standing from an outer peripheral face of the spigot joint.
