PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet sterilization apparatus and an ultraviolet sterilization method, which can surely sterilizes even the inside of a sterilization chamber that cannot be visually observed or a part of a shadow between fingers of a glove.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet sterilization apparatus 10 that sterilizes a surface of a glove G by irradiating ultraviolet to the glove G worn on a hand includes: a sterilization chamber housing 120 in which a glove insertion port 130, through which the glove G worn on fingers is inserted, is opened and a sterilization chamber 121 is formed inside thereof and an ultraviolet irradiation part 123 that is arranged in the inside of the sterilization chamber housing 120 and irradiates ultraviolet in the sterilization chamber 121.
