PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection device with small distance from the end of a body around a sensor panel and a scintillator layer to the photoelectric converter end of a sensor.SOLUTION: The lateral faces of a sensor panel 101 including a photoelectric converter and of a scintillator layer 103 on the sensor panel 101 are connected to an encapsulation part 105 provided in a body 106 of a radiation detection device through an encapsulation resin 203.
