PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic equipping a marked skin-whitening and beautifying effect, and high biological safety by finding out a new skin-whitening component having a potent tyrosinase activity inhibitory effect, exhibiting excellently preventing and symptom-improving effects against the pigmentation of skin such as spots, freckles, etc., and keeping and improving the skin as a young and healthy state, having less irritation etc., to the skin and also excellent in the biological safety in natural products and blending such the component in the cosmetic.
SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by blending an extract of a plant belonging to the genus Citrus of Rutaceae.
