Themethodincludes providing a mixture and an interior surface of a dispensing chamberhousing.The mixture and dispensing chamber housing are near room temperature. Thedispensingchamber housing and mixture are brought to a temperature range at which themixtureexpands and is in a more liquid state. Air in a needle is maintained after themixtureexpands and prior to an injection. The air in the needle and the mixture isinjected intothe eye. The air gap is calculated based on thermal expansion characteristicsof themixture.
