The fishing reel includes a frame, a spool fitted on the frame, and a handle fitted on a side of the frame to turn the spool, and further includes a line type marker including: a rotary member coupled to a mounting portion, which is provided at some or all of the frame, the spool, and the handle； a scale indication section on the rotary member； and a scale section around the rotary member.
