The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing corn flakes, and a method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus for producing corn flakes via heat treatment by means of an infrared light source, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, through dry heat processing method using infrared light instead of heat treatment method using steam, a heating process and a drying process for grain can be simultaneously conducted, thereby enabling simplification of processes and facilities as well as reduction in energy.
