The present invention discloses a method for preparation of tea tannin extract by leaching typically selecting tea leaf powder and tea leaf scraps for use as raw materials discarding impurities from the tea leaves, crushing and passing the leaves through a 70-90 mesh screen, placing into a container, adding clean water of an amount 40-50 times that of the tea leaves, soaking for 20-40 minutes under ambient temperature conditions, then rapidly heating to 75-80°C in a water bath, and continuously stirring for 20-25 minutes and filtering saving the filtrate, adding water to residue over tea leaves, heating to 75-80°C in a water bath, holding for 10-15 minutes and filtering continuing to add water to the residue, heating in the water bath, and stirring continuously for 8-10 minutes and filtering. The three filtrates are combined, evaporated under reduced pressure, and the dry matter is washed with absolute ethanol, then dried.
