A method for detecting animal estrus and a device for performing the same are disclosed. Particularly, the method by which the device detects animal estrus includes the steps of: confirming a moving object in a captured image obtained by photographing a breeding region determining whether the moving object is an animal for which mounting is to be confirmed and generating an object posture pattern information according to a connection relationship among a plurality of object components constituting the confirmed animal object in the captured image, and comparing the generated object posture pattern information with pre-stored mounting posture pattern information so as to determine whether the recognized animal object performs a mounting behavior.Linvention concerne un procédé de détection de lœstrus chez les animaux et un dispositif de mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
