PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing transformed silkworms.SOLUTION: Blasticidin of a prescribed concentration is orally taken by silkworms to which a blasticidin-resistant gene is introduced as a selection marker gene, so that transformed silkworms can be efficiently selected based on the death or survival of the silkworms. Particularly, the efficiency in selecting transformed silkworms can be significantly improved when the blasticidin-resistant gene is introduced into silkworms in such a way as to be expressed as a non-secretor protein and at least 10 &mug of blasticidin relative to 1 g of feed is orally taken by first-instar larvae.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 効率的に形質転換カイコを作製しうる方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 ブラストサイジン耐性遺伝子を選抜マーカー遺伝子として導入したカイコに、所定濃度のブラストサイジンを経口摂取させることにより、その生死によって効率的に形質転換カイコを選抜しうることを見出した。特に、ブラストサイジン耐性遺伝子を非分泌型のタンパク質として発現するようにカイコに導入し、10μg/g餌以上のブラストサイジンを1令幼虫に経口摂取させた場合に、形質転換カイコの選抜の効率を顕著に向上させることが可能であることを見出した。【選択図】 なし
