PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gatch bed mattress improved in mattress flexibility when raising the back, and preventing the application of uncomfortable stress to a bed user.SOLUTION: A gatch bed mattress is such that: an extension part 50 is provided on a cover 40 covering a mattress body having mattress cushioning property； the extension part 50 is made by applying gathering processing to part of a lower half part 40b of the cover 40 over the width direction of the mattress body 1； the extension part 50 is a part including a bent part where the mattress body 1 bends； and the area of the extension part 50 is an area of equal to or less than 500 mm in the mattress longitudinal direction. When the length of the area is L, gathering processing in the extension part 50 includes pleating processing so that a cover material of a length of L+(70-200) mm has a length of L.【課題】背上げ時のマットレスの屈曲性が向上し、ベッド使用者に対する不快な応力の印加を防止したギャッチベッド用マットレスを提供する。【解決手段】マットレスのクッション性を有するマットレス本体を被包するカバー４０に、伸張部５０が設けられている。この伸張部５０は、カバー４０の下半部４０ｂの一部に、マットレス本体１の幅方向にわたって、ギャザー加工が施されたものである。この伸張部５０は、マットレス本体１が屈曲する屈曲部を含む部分であり、伸張部５０の領域は、マットレス長手方向について、５００ｍｍ以下の領域である。この領域の長さをＬとすると、伸張部５０におけるギャザー加工は、Ｌ＋７０乃至２００ｍｍの長さのカバー素材を、Ｌの長さになるように、ひだ付き加工したものである。【選択図】図１
