A feeder for feeding poultry and the like, the feeder comprising: a base including a pan configured to receive and retain feed a storage hopper positioned above the base during use for receiving and storing feed, said hopper being operable to dispense feed into the pan under the effect of gravity the base further including a housing for at least enclosing the pan, the housing including an opening positioned in between the pan and the hopper during use for allowing poultry and the like to access an internal space enclosed by the housing for consuming the feed retained in the pan.La présente invention concerne un dispositif dalimentation permettant de nourrir des volailles et similaires, le dispositif dalimentation comprenant : une base comportant un bac conçu pour recevoir et stocker des aliments une trémie de stockage positionnée au-dessus de la base pendant lutilisation destinée à recevoir et à stocker les aliments, ladite trémie servant à distribuer les aliments dans le bac sous leffet de la pesanteur la base comportant en outre un logement destiné au moins à renfermer le bac, le logement comprenant une ouverture positionnée entre le bac et la trémie pendant lutilisation pour permettre aux volailles et similaires daccéder à un espace interne renfermé par le logement pour consommer les aliments retenus dans le bac.
