The present invention discloses a method that can improve the sinterability of calcium sulfate. The material can be used as a bio-material. This method is prepared by pre-mixing +1 and/or +2 and/or +3 and/or +4 and/or +5 valence elements and/or chemical compounds into calcium sulfate as sintering aids. During sintering, these sintering additives may form compounds and/or glass to assist the densification of calcium sulfate. The strength and biocompatibility of the specimens after sintering are satisfactory.本發明揭露一種改善生物用之硫酸鈣材料的燒結行為的方法,此種方法是將生物用之硫酸鈣材料藉由添加含+1價及/或含+2價及/或含+3價及/或含+4價及/或含+5價之元素及其化合物的燒結添加劑,經由混練、成型後,再施以燒結熱處理。如此,可使生物用之硫酸鈣材料於熱處理時產生適當之化合物或玻璃,使硫酸鈣具有可燒結性,而經燒結之生物用的硫酸鈣材料具有理想之強度與生物相容性。
