PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oligonucleotide therapeutic agent (microRNA) relating to muscular and cardiovascular disorders.SOLUTION: A new miRNA, mir-208-2, is identified. The miRNA relates to an isolated nucleic acid molecule of less than 500 nucleotides characterized in that the isolated nucleic acid molecules comprise mir-208-2. In one embodiment, e.g. for targeting a pri-miRNA, the isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising mir-208-2 has a length of less than 200 nucleotides. In another embodiment, e.g. for targeting a pre-miRNA, the isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising mir-208-2 has a length of less than 80 nucleotides.
