PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a milk foam with perfect quality regardless of use and operation conditions.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for forming a milk foam for preparing beverage with a milk foam by a coffee machine, in which a gas medium which is air is fed to milk which is being transported. The formed milk/air mixture is fed to an outlet for milk foam or for beverage with a milk foam. At the time, consistency of the formed milk foam is identified and monitored in an adjustment process, and/or set, for changing the consistency of the milk foam.
