PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: methods of preparing compositions rich in CD4+CD25hi T regulatory cells (Tregs), and methods for treating immunological disorders using the compositions； and methods for preparing compositions rich in lymphocytes and depleted of Tregs, and the use of the compositions in treatment of proliferative disorders.SOLUTION: A method for preparing a composition rich in Tregs comprises contacting a population of human cells including T lymphocytes with a tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2) agonist or NF-κB activator. A method for preparing a composition rich in lymphocytes comprises contacting a population of human cells including T lymphocytes with a TNFR2 antagonist or NF-κB inhibitor to suppress the proliferation of Tregs.
