Disclosed are concatameric proteins comprising two soluble domains, in whichthe C-terminus of a soluble domain of a biologically active protein is linkedto the N-terminus of an identical soluble domain or a distinct soluble domainof a biologically active protein. Also, the present invention discloseddimeric proteins formed by formation of intermolecular disulfide bonds at thehinge region of two monomeric proteins formed by linkage of a concatamer oftwo identical soluble extracellular regions of proteins involving immuneresponse to an Fc fragment of an immunoglobulin molecule, their glycosylatedproteins, DNA constructs encoding the monomeric proteins, recombinantexpression plasmids containing the DNA constructs, host cells transformed ortransfected with the recombinant expression plasmids, and a method ofpreparing the dimeric proteins by culturing the host cells. Further, thepresent invention disclosed pharmaceutical or diagnostic compositionscomprising the dimeric protein or its glycosylated form.
