An apparatus is described for transferring selected amounts of drug under aseptic conditions from a vial to a container. Embodiments of the present invention facilitate the dissolution of solid drug contained in a vial, or the dilution of concentrated drug contained in a vial, and transfer of the resulting solution to a container.
