An intragastric anchor implant that provide non-penetrating anchoring and methods for delivery are provided herein. Such anchor implants include an elongate element or rod extending between proximal and distal atraumatic features. The elongate member may be sufficiently stiff to resist bending and engage a tissue of the stomach or gastrointestinal tract to prevent passage therethrough and may include one or more bends or curved portions to improve conformance with the natural shape of the gastrointestinal tract.
