PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a leakage prevention effect from front and rear end parts of a solid gather.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises a body part 201 and solid gathers 60. The body part 201 is a portion having a liquid permeable top sheet 30, a rear side liquid impermeable sheet 11, and an absorber 56 interposed between these sheets. The solid gather 60 comprises: an attachment portion 65 fixed on the rear side from the absorber 56 in the body part 201 and at a portion away from the side edge of the body part 201 to a width direction central side an extension portion 66 extending sideways from the attachment portion 65 and folded back one or multiple times a folded fixed portion 67 formed by fixing both longitudinal end parts of the extension part 66, among both longitudinal end parts and a longitudinal intermediate part of the extention portions 66, sideways from the attachment portion 65 in the body part 201 in a state of folding both longitudinal end parts a free portion 68 formed in a state in which the longitudinal intermediate part is not fixed to the body part 201 and a gather elastic stretchable member 63 fixed in at least the tip part of the free portion 68 along the longitudinal direction in a stretched state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
