A method of obtaining a protein drink, comprising: mixing an aqueous protein isolate collected by isolating the protein by filtering through a filter with a porous septum without substantial drying, with a pH-adjusting agent to provide a pH of from about 2 to about 4.6, to obtain thus an acidified protein mixture; storing said acidified protein mixture at room temperature for up to about 10 days or refrigerated for up to about 30 days until said acidified protein mixture e is required to produce said protein drink; mixing said acidified protein mixture with at least one additional ingredient selected from the group consisting of water, juice, alcohol, carbon dioxide, a concentrated plant extract, anti-foaming agent, nutrient, calcium or calcium derivative, an additional component that contributes to the production of energy, a herbal supplement, a flavoring agent, sweetener, preservative and color. 2.
